The Block

The Block (Previously Risky Reels and The Motel) was a named Point Of Interest in Battle Royale which was added to the Map in Season 7, located inside the coordinate D2, west of Lazy Lagoon, east of Junk Junction, southwest of Starry Suburbs and Haunted Hills, north-east of Pleasant Park and north of Loot Lake. It was a giant, flat 25x25 tile concrete block.

Before Season 8, it was located north of Wailing Woods, northeast of Tomato Temple and east of Lazy Links.

Upon the release of Season 7, Risky Reels was completely flattened out by The Block, except for the marquee board which was duplicated. It is used to display different creations with shared island codes built in the Creative gamemode.

Submitting[]

When in the process of submitting your creation, you would have to access 3rd party websites and social media, such as Twitter, Reddit, Discord, etc. In order to get your creation featured by using the hashtag: {#FortniteBlockParty} in the following social media sites. If your creation is featured, it will get mentioned on Fortnite's social channels and will get an in game news announcement in the "News" tab in the bottom right corner of the lobby.

Trivia[]

Many of the creations of the blocks were because of the story-line of the Battle Royale Map.
The Block is the first location that was added to a creative island.
Interestingly, The Block was not added back with the new map in Chapter 2 Season 1, although it is still accessible in Creative.
The Block was the first ever named POI with a non-alliterative name. (2 Words not starting with the same letter)
