Recycling is a process of converting items for some of their Crafting Materials, or Schematics for 90% of Experience spent Upgrading. For Schematics, with the Rarity Rare and above, additional resources for Evolution is collected.
When recycling/retiring base level cards, the results are as follows (table applies to recycling as well as retiring) :
