Mutant Storms is a Save the World Event introduced in Patch 1.9.1. The event's primary feature was Mutant Storms, missions with special modifiers that appeared randomly and for a limited time that were first seen in the Survive the Storm event, and also included the Vindertech Weapons set. Mutant Storms was reprised in Patch 2.3.3 and brought with it another chance at obtaining the Storm Zone Heroes and Hydraulic Weapons sets from Survive the Storm.

Tickets and Llamas

Players earned Storm Tickets while playing during the Mutant Storm events. They were used to purchase Vindertech (first event) or Storm (second event) Llamas at the price of 1000 tickets per Llama.

Mutant Storms

Main article: Mutant Storms

Mutant Storms, first introduced in Survive the Storm, were special Missions that appeared at random on the Mission select screen. They featured a number of player and monster buffs that forced the player to adapt new strategies while attempting to complete the mission. Each Mutant Storm offered a reward of Storm Tickets, and players received tickets for the first 10 missions that they successfully completed each day.

Following the success of the Mutant Storms events, Mutant Storms were introduced as a standard feature of Save the World.

Storm Zone Heroes

The Storm Zone Heroes were first available during the Survive the Storm event. They were offered again during the second Mutant Storms event.
