This article is about materials in Save the World. For materials in Battle Royale, see Materials (Battle Royale). |
Materials is the commonly used term to describe the resources and ingredients required for building and crafting. Players can break objects in the world to obtain materials: World Resources, used in building structures in both Save the World and Battle Royale, and Crafting Ingredients, used to craft Weapons, Traps, and Ammunition in Save the World.
World Resources[]
World Resources, often called "mats" or "materials" by players, are used to build structures in both Save the World and Battle Royale. Harvesting items and objects with a Pickaxe yields a different amount of World Resources, depending on the object that was destroyed.

Crafting Ingredients[]
Like World Resources, Crafting Ingredients can be found all over the world. Players can find crafting ingredients by searching objects (by pressing the search button while looking at an object), from Quest Rewards, and from Expeditions. Using schematics, the player can use these materials to craft weapons, traps, and ammunition. Crafting does not require the player to be out of combat, but they should be cautious that opening the inventory interface makes them unavailable to defend themselves.[1]
Tiered ingredients from the next Map Location start appear more often when closer to a new Region—Items found primarily in Plankerton can also be found in late Stonewood, for example.
