Into the Storm was a Save the World Event that ran from April 11 to May 1, 2018. Beyond an Event Questline published in two sections, it also featured a new version of the Survive the Storm mission type and introduced the Cyberpunk Heroes and Neon Weapons sets.

Tickets and Llamas

Players earned Storm Tickets during Into the Storm. The tickets were exchanged, 1,000 at a time, for Into the Storm Llamas.

Survive the Storm

Into the Storm featured the return of the Survive the Storm Mission type, this time on the brand new Thunder Route 99 map. In addition to 1,000 Storm Tickets, players were rewarded with exclusive banner icons for completing each of the three levels of Survive the Storm difficulty.

Cyberpunk Heroes

Introduced in Into the Storm were the Cyberpunk Heroes, which featured abilities that were energy- and speed-centric: Bullet-Storm Jonesy's Bullet Storm increases rate of fire as long as the players weapon is fired; Harvester Sarah utilizes Smoke Bomb and Shadow Stance to quickly and efficiently snare and damage enemies with her scythe; Heavy BASE Kyle greatly increases damage to enemies who interact with BASE-protected structures, leading to a great burst of energy; and T.E.D.D. Shot Jess uses a very strong T.E.D.D.Y. to handle enemies while she snipes them from a distance.

The Neon weapons feature inherent Energy Damage. Some were available in Into the Storm Llamas, while others were available to purchase directly from the Event Store.
