Gorgers are a type of non-playable object that that can appear around the map during a match during Chapter 2 Season 4. These creatures represent forces of Galactus, the main focus of Chapter 2 Season 4. As he gets closer to the island, he sends his army to attack.

Any time during the beginning of a match, a red beam appears from the sky, dropping the Gorgers onto the island. One always spawns a match, and there is a chance for a second to spawn as well. They stay in their general spawn area unless they target a player. Gorgers can spawn at six locations:

The Gorgers have a few attacks when dealing with enemy players. It's main attack is when it shoots a large beam from its "eye", dealing 50 damage to a player that gets hit. If a player gets too close to one, it can slam the ground, dealing 25 damage to a player. The Gorgers have a unique ability that allows them to release Gatherers, two at once. These Gatherers don't do much damage, but can be powerful in numbers, as they shoot mini blasts that can deal 10 damage to a player.

Gorgers have a several amount of health, and only have a few weaknesses. It's main weakness is Marvel Superpowers. These powers, such as Doctor Doom's Arcane Gauntlets, can do damage to Gorgers at any spot. When it comes to regular weapons, the only weakness it has is its glowing points. There are five main points weapons can attack. There are two lower points that can be attacked at any time. When they release Gatherers, it creates two temporary weak points. The last weak point is its "eye" when it charges its blast. The other unique weapon players can use are Gather Remains. By defeating a Gatherer, which don't have much health, they are knocked down. However, players can pick these up and use them to attack the Gorger. Otherwise, they will eventually blow up.

Gorgers have a very large amount of health, making them difficult to defeat alone, and even with teammates they are somewhat difficult. Although their difficulty is high, they're loot drop has much worth to it. They drop a large amount of loot when they are defeated, up to Epic and Legendary rarity items. The items they can drop are:

Strategy Against Gorgers

  1. Use fast-firing weapons (Assault Rifles) to hit the weak points
  2. Take out all the Gatherers before attacking the Gorger, as they are powerful in numbers
  3. Don't get too close to the Gorger as its attacks are harder to dodge.
  4. Gorgers are much easier to defeat with a team, using super powers, Gatherers or weak points together

  • The Rocket Launcher was shortly vaulted from the loot pool of the Gorger, making it inaccessible. However, this was eventually changed back.
