Gliders are a Rare item in Battle Royale that allow the player to redeploy their glider midair. The player's glider can only be deployed midair by pressing their designated jump key. In large team modes, players start with 50 Gliders already in their inventory, taking up one slot. These can be replaced with stacks of 10 gliders found as loot. In all other game modes, players only gained this functionality by obtaining the Gliders item from floor loot or other loot sources such as chests. A player can only have one stack of Gliders in their inventory at a time, picking up another stack of Gliders with a stack already in your inventory will replace it. After depleting all the item's uses, the item will disappear from the player's inventory.
Gliders were vaulted from regular game modes on Patch 10.00 to reduce mobility, They however will still remain in big team modes such as Team Rumble, or in Creative. But they were removed later on in the Chapter 2, Season 2 update(?) in Team Rumble too.

Trivia[]
- The functionality of the Gliders item was originally implemented as a test feature in all game modes with infinite uses.
- After mixed feedback from the community, the Glider Redeploy functionality was removed, only to be later reinstated as a Glider Redeploy item as of Patch 7.30.
Changes[]
Weapons + Items
- Vaulted
- Itemized Glider Redeploy (still available in large team modes)
- Over time, we have added many mobility options, both itemized and map-based. We feel that Season X is better experienced with a reduction in mobility. As with all changes, we’ll keep a close eye on how this affects the player experience.
