Fortnitemares is a Battle Royale Event introduced in the 11.10 Patch Notes. This is the third Fortnitemares event in Battle Royale, including the return of old weapons, new challenges, and new LTMs.
Battle Royale
- In the new Chapter 2 Season 1 Battle Royale Map, the major change is that the Eye Land POI has been replaced with a new POI for Fortnitemares, called Isle Of The Storm. The POI is located at the center of the map. It is a Corrupted Area filled with corrupted trees, stones, craters with similar effects to a Shockwave Grenade, and obelisks that summon the Horde which roam around the island. Other small things like POI's setting up Halloween decor, the return of the Retail Row
Hey Boo! Halloween store, and the appearance of haunted, floating pieces of furniture have also started. If the player comes too close to the haunted furniture, it will turn into a hostile NPC zombie. The Pumpkin Launcher has also returned for Halloween.
Fortnitemares LTM
A gamemode where four players fight in a two versus two in a creative map. Each round, a random loudout is given, but every player gets the same loudout.
A gamemode where up to fifteen players work together to fight and defeat the Storm King, a boss from Save the World. Players must work together to avoid the Horde, the Storm, and the Storm King's attacks while destroying the weak points and horns to defeat the Storm King.
Fortnitemares Challenges
A set of challenges based off of completing challenges of Creative maps, including the Gun Fright gamemode. The challenges also involve creative maps called Retribution, Mansion of Power, and Infernum.
- Play 5 different Creative Curse featured islands or Gun Fright
- Eliminate 200 fiends in Retribution
- Siphon 250 health and shields from player eliminations in Mansion of Power
- Eliminate 7 players in Gun Fright
- Collect 15 pumpkin coins in any featured island
- Collect 500 resources in Retribution
- Eliminate 10 players in Mansion of Power
- Deal damage with Assault Rifles in Gun Fright
- Do 100000 damage to fiends in any featured island
- Purchase 3 items from Vending Machines in Retribution
- Bounce on 25 Ghost Vents in Mansion of Power
- Deal 300 damage with Sniper Rifles or Pistols in Gun Fright
- Eliminate 4 basic fiends
- Collect the final boss room pumpkin in the featured island Infernum
A set of challenges based off of completing challenges in Battle Royale and the Storm King gamemode. The challenges include completing certain objectives in Battle Royale, or completing specific objectives during the Storm King gamemode.
- Destroy 5 of haunted household furniture
- Leap from a Hideout while an opposing player is within 20m
- Search a chest in a haunted forest, a ghost town, and a spooky farm
- Deal 10000 damage to Storm King weak points
- Revive 3 teammates while battling the Storm King
- Defeat the Storm King
