Fortnitemares is a Battle Royale and Save the World Event introduced in Patch 6.20.

On Twitter, Fortnite released 3 teasers the teased Fortnitemares 2018, the Deadfire Oufit, the Shackled Stone, and the Six Shooter weapon. A riddle has been posted alongside the teaser.
Costumes and dancing, Partner up, be wise. They could be friendly, Or a ghoul in disguise.
Tombstones quake, Keep your finger steady. The circle will close, Better be ready.
Take the shot, If you have enough to last. The wind calls out, “Fill your chambers, fast.”

Fortnitemares Challenges are limited-time sets of challenges available during Fortnitemares (2018) event. Completing each challenge rewards certain amount of XP and completing the set of challenges reward limited-edition cosmetic skins.

Lil' Kev Challenges[]
Lil' Kev Challenges are limited-time set of challenges from November 5 to November 11 that was made available after the CUBE has been destroyed. Completing all the challenges rewards Lil' Kev Back Bling.

During Fortnitemares, various changes on visuals were added to Battle Royale.
- Following the CUBE phenomena, the Battle Bus crashed into southwest of Lazy Links and has been replaced with a Halloween-theme Battle Bus.
- Rocket Launcher was changed into Pumpkin Rocket Launcher.
- Fatal Fields was redecorated and became a Halloween-themed park.
- Festive/Halloween decorative props were also added throughout the island.

Players earned 
Candy while playing during Fortnitemares. Candy was used to purchase Fortnitemares Llamas at the price of 500 Candy per Llama.

- Summary
- The Cube strikes back, bringing Fortnitemares to Battle Royale! Drop in and discover what the Cube has unleashed.
- Cube Fragments spawn Cube Monsters! Drop in and discover the different types.
- Large Cube Fragments are found near corrupted areas of the island.
- Small Cube Fragments are created randomly throughout the match.
- Cube Fiends, Brutes, and Fragments all have a chance to drop loot.
- Defeating a Cube Fiend or Brute will grant a small amount of shield.
- Eliminating a Cube Fiend will grant +3 shield
- Eliminating an Elite Cube Fiend will grant +5 shield
- Eliminating a Cube Brute will grant +10 shield
- Eliminating an Elite Cube Brute will grant +15 shield
- Eliminating a Mega Cube Brute will grant +20 shield
