Fog of War (formerly Sneaky Silencers) is a Limited Time Mode introduced during Season 2. The first version of the gamemode only had Silenced weapons. Traps were disabled and the spawn rate of the Bush was increased tremendously. On December 28th, 2018, Sneaky Silencers returned on the 10th day of 14 Days of Fortnite, and returned again on August 13th, 2019. In this version of the game mode, Suppressed Assault Rifles and the vaulted Smoke Grenades have been added. With Patch 15.20, more vaulted items has been added to the mode and the Automatic Sniper Rifle was removed.

Gameplay/Rules

• Siphon is available in Fog of War (50 HP/Shields granted per elimination)
• Storm remains unchanged.
• Only Suppressed Weapons, Bushes, Smoke Grenades and other vaulted items in this game mode.

• Covered in a huge dense fog

Players

• Killing a player rewards with 100 health or shield.
• When damaging a player, its position is revealed and marked.
• Crouching has increased speed.

Trivia

• There was a glitch were you could fish up unsuppressed weapons from fishing spots (Shotguns, Rocket Launchers, Burst Assault Rifles etc.) making it unfair for players who didn't know this glitch. The glitch was patched quickly by Fortnite after.
• Fog of War was known as Sneaky Silencers before Patch 13.20
