Desiree was Dr Vinderman's assistant who left after a scholarly disagreement with Vinderman. After she left, Ray, a robot created by Dr Vinderman himself, was created to replace her. Desiree tells Ray that she was glad Ray took her name, and that Ray "did more with it than [she] ever could" moments before sacrificing herself to detonate the Rift Bomb following the Player's defeat of The Storm King in the later part of the Canny Valley Act III questline.
