Defender icon

Defenders are NPC People trained to fight alongside the player during Missions. Each Defender specializes in a different weapon type, and must be equipped with a weapon of the correct type and Ammo suitable for use with that weapon before they are able to fight. They can be summoned with the Defender Post. Defenders consume 33% less ammunition and weapon durability.

Types[]

There are five different types of Defenders, corresponding to five common weapon subtypes.

Rifleman[]

Rifleman defender icon

The Rifleman is a defender that uses assault rifles. There are three models so far, one of them is an exclusive epic rifleman(called Jill) only available for people who bought the Super Deluxe edition of the game (or above).

Gunslinger[]

Gunslinger defender icon

The Gunslinger is a defender trained in the use of pistols, including submachine guns. There are three models so far, one of them is an exclusive epic gunslinger(called Idris) only available for people who bought the Super Deluxe edition of the game (or above).

Bruiser[]

Bruiser defender icon

The Bruisers are defenders trained in the use of melee weapons. This kind of Defender does not require ammo. There was only one model for bruisers until an event-only legendary bruiser was added (Val).

Shotgunner[]

Shotgunner defender icon

The shotgunner is trained in the use of shotguns. There are currently two models for shotgunners. Shotgunners are highly effective because their shooting range is small which makes them point-blank enemies most of the time.

Sniper[]

Sniper defender icon

The sniper, as the name implies, is trained in the use of sniper rifles. Currently there are two sniper models. Snipers can use laser rifles, crossbows, and the shotgun-snipers as well because they belong to the same base category despite showcasing very different characteristics.
