Battle Royale features four game modes, organized by the size of the teams competing in the match. Solos is for individual players, Duos is for pairs of players, Trios is for teams of three, and Squads is for four players. Players may select the "No Fill" option on the Lobby screen if they wish to compete against other two-, three-, or four-player teams by themselves or only with their friends, and "Fill" if they want to compete against other two-, three-, or four-player teams with random people as their teammates.

The game also features game modes which are only available for a limited time, called limited time modes.

Game Modes in Battle Royale also consist of LTM's (Limited Time Modes).
