Battle Pass Season 8

The Battle Pass for Season 8 is a way to earn exclusive in-game rewards by playing Battle Royale during Season 8 and is available for purchase from the Item Shop for 950 V-Bucks. These rewards include: outfits, gliders, harvesting tools, pets, back bling, emotes, emoticons, banner icons, sprays, toys, wraps, contrails, music, loading screens and more.

The Battle Pass for Season 8 ran from February 28th, 2019 until May 9th, 2019. Currently, you can no longer earn any rewards/complete challenges from Season 8 as that season has ended.

All in-game items that can be unlocked stay and do not expire. Free Pass rewards are available to all players and purchase is not necessary while Battle Pass rewards are only available to players that purchased the Battle Pass with V-Bucks. A bundle that includes automatic completion of the first 25 Tiers was also offered for 2800 V-Bucks

Battle Stars, Tiers, XP Boosts and Season Levels

Battle Pass rewards can be earned by collecting battle stars that are used to unlock higher tiers in the Battle Pass. Some tiers have a free pass reward that everyone can earn while all tiers have at least one Battle Pass reward that is only available to players that buy the Battle Pass. Battle Pass owners earn both Free Pass rewards and regular Battle Pass rewards.

Tiers represent the progress in the Battle Pass and the Season Levels represent the time playing during current season. Battle Stars are required to unlock certain tiers and earn rewards while XP in matches of Battle Royale matches are needed to reach higher Season Levels and earn Battle Stars. Battle Stars can be collected by; earning XP to level up, completing daily challenges, completing weekly challenges or buying tiers with V-Bucks.

XP Boosts are Season XP boosters that do not expire until the end of the season; Personal XP Boosts increase the amount of XP that can be earned after a Battle Royale match and the Friend XP Boosts that increases the amount of player's friend XP can earn when they are in the same party after a Battle Royale match.

Style Challenges

Style Challenges are a set of unique challenges that are given to the owners of skins that have additional style options, such as Season 8's new skins, Blackheart and Hybrid. These styles can be earned by completing challenges or leveling up. These challenges can still be completed out of the season while Weekly Challenges do not.

Blackheart Challenges

Weekly Challenges

Weekly Challenges are unique challenges given to players. Every week, seven challenges are given to players and can be completed easily, or be a bit challenging. While all seven challenges are given to people who own the Battle Pass, only three are given to those who don't own the Battle Pass. These challenges will no longer be available once Season 8 is over and Season 9 starts. You are rewarded with a significant amount of XP after completing four challenges for every Weekly Challenge section.

Week 1 Challenges

• Visit all 7 Pirate Camps
• Search 7 chests at Retail Row or Junk Junction
• Stage 1/3: Deal damage with a Shotgun and an Explosive Weapon in a single match

Stage 2/3: Deal damage with a Pistol and an Assault Rifle in a single match

Stage 3/3: Deal damage with a Sniper Rifle and an SMG in a single match

• Visit a giant face in the desert, the jungle, and the snow
• Use a volcano vent in 5 different matches
• Get an elimination with a Shotgun, Assault Rifle, and Explosive Weapon
• Deal 200 damage to a vehicle driven by an opponent

Week 2 Challenges

• Deal 200 damage to descending Supply Drops
• Stage 1/5: Land at the Block

Stage 2/5: Land at Dusty Divot

Stage 3/5: Land at Polar Peak

Stage 4/5: Land at Snobby Shores

Stage 5/5: Land at Paradise Palms

• Eliminate 3 opponents at Salty Springs or Haunted Hills
• Visit the furthest North, South, East, and West sides of the island
• Stage 1/3: Gain 25 health from apples

Stage 2/3: Gain 50 health from campfires

Stage 3/3: Gain 75 health from medkits

• Deal damage with a Pirate Cannon
• Search 3 chests in different named locations

Week 3 Challenges

• Stage 1/3: Visit Fatal Fields and Salty Springs in a single match

Stage 2/3: Visit Haunted Hills and Tilted Towers in a single match

Stage 3/3: Visit Frosty Flights and Loot Lake in a single match

• Stage 1/3: Destroy cacti in the desert

Stage 2/3: Search 7 ammo boxes in the snow biome

Stage 3/3: Search 5 chests in the jungle

• Play two different slot trap items in a single match
• Search where the magnifying glass sits on the Isle of Treasure loading screen
• Search 7 chests at Sunny Steps or Fatal Fields
• Deal 500 headshot damage to opponents
• Get an elimination with an SMG, Pistol, and a Sniper Rifle

Week 4 Challenges

• Stage 1/5: Land at Tilted Towers

Stage 2/5: Land at Junk Junction

Stage 3/5: Land at Retail Row

Stage 4/5: Land at Happy Hamlet

Stage 5/5: Land at Pleasant Park

• Use the Baller in 5 different matches
• Get an elimination with a scoped weapon and suppressed weapon
• Launch yourself through 25 player built structures with a Pirate Cannon
• Search Buried Treasure 2 times
• Eliminate 3 opponents at Happy Hamlet or Pleasant Park
• Stage 1/3: Outlast 60 opponents in a single match

Stage 2/3: Outlast 70 opponents in a single match

Stage 3/3: Outlast 80 opponents in a single match

Week 5 Challenges

• Deal 200 damage with a scoped weapon to opponents
• Search 7 chests at Paradise Palms or Shifty Shafts
• Complete a lap of the race track at Happy Hamlet
• Get 15 bounces in a single throw with the Bouncy Ball toy.
• Stage 1/3: Gain 50 shield from mushrooms

Stage 2/3: Gain 100 shield from Small Shield Potions

Stage 3/3: Gain 100 shield from Shield Potions

• Use a volcano vent, a zipline, and a vehicle in the same match
• Eliminate 3 opponents at pirate camps

Week 6 Challenges

• Visit the 5 highest elevations on the island
• Visit a wooden rabbit, a stone pig, and a metal llama
• Eliminate 3 opponents at Lazy Lagoon or Frosty Flights
• Search where the knife points on the Isle of Treasure loading screen
• Stage 1/5: Land at Fatal Fields

Stage 2/5: Land at Lazy Lagoon

Stage 3/5: Land at Shifty Shafts

Stage 4/5: Land at Frosty Flights

Stage 5/5: Land at Sunny Steps

• Use 2 different throwable items in a single match
• Get an elimination with a Flint-Knock Pistol or a Boom Bow

Week 7 Challenges

• Deal 200 damage with a Pickaxe to opponents
• Stage 1/3: Visit Junk Junction and The Block in a single match

Stage 2/3: Visit Pleasant Park and Dusty Divot in a single Match

Stage 3/3: Visit Happy Hamlet and Snobby Shores in a single match

• Visit 3 Pirate Camps in a single match
• Deal 500 damage to players from above
• Search 7 chests at Loot Lake or Snobby Shores
• Stage 1/2: Deal damage to opposing players while riding the Zipline

Stage 2/2: Deal damage to opposing players who are riding the Zipline

• Eliminate 5 opponents at different Named Locations

Week 8 Challenges

• Stage 1/2: Search the treasure map signpost found in Paradise Palms

Stage 2/2: Search the X on the treasure map signpost in Paradise Palms

• Use Vending Machines in 3 different matches
• Deal 100 damage to opponents while using at least one balloon
• Search 7 Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces under bridges and in caves
• Stage 1/2: Dial the Durrr Burger number on the big telephone west of Fatal Fields

Stage 2/2: Dial the Pizza Pit number on the big telephone east of The Block

• Eliminate 7 opponents at Dusty Divot or Lucky Landing
• Eliminate 2 opponents from at least 50 meters away

Week 9 Challenges

• Stage 1/5: Land at Loot Lake

Stage 2/5: Land at Lucky Landing

Stage 3/5: Land at Salty Springs

Stage 4/5: Land at Lonely Lodge

Stage 5/5: Land at Haunted Hills

• Search 7 chests at Polar Peak or Lonely Lodge
• Ride 3 different Volcano Vents without landing
• Stage 1/3: Dance between three ice sculptures

Stage 2/3: Dance between three dinosaurs

Stage 3/3: Dance between four hotsprings

• Deal 500 damage to opponents from below
• Revive a teammate at a Reboot Van
• Eliminate 5 opponents in different matches

Week 10 Challenges

• Launch through 3 flaming hoops with a cannon
• Stage 1/3: Harvest 500 wood in a single match

Stage 2/3: Harvest 400 brick in a single match

Stage 3/3: Harvest 300 metal in a single match

• Eliminate 3 opponents at Tilted Towers or The Block
• Deal 500 damage with an Infantry Rifle or a Heavy Assault Rifle
• Stage 1/2: Search the treasure map signpost found in Junk Junction

Stage 2/2: Follow the treasure map signpost found in Junk Junction

• Deal 100 damage within 10 seconds of landing after using a Volcano Vent
• Eliminate 2 opponents from closer than 5 meters away

Discovery Challenges Secrets

When a Discovery Challenge is completed, the player will be rewarded a secret loading screen, and hidden Battle Stars and Banners will appear on the map at the location hinted by the challenge's reward Loading Screen. Interacting with the hidden Battle Stars awards a Free Battle Pass tier or free XP for players who have unlocked all tiers for the Battle Pass. Interacting with the banner rewards a Free Banner icon that players will be able to equip in the locker.

• Week 1 Battle Star - Lazy Lagoon,G3 on top of the tallest building east of the Pirate Ship
• Week 2 Banner - Inside of the Volcano POI, H4 left of the throne and near the eggs
• Week 3 Battle Star - South of Sunny Steps, I4 on the stairs above the tunnel
• Week 4 Banner - On north side of Volcano POI, H3 on torch on the path up the volcano
• Week 5 Battle Star - South of Volcano POI, H4 on the ledge of land past first lava fall and nearby three containers
• Week 6 - Banner - West of Lazy Lagoon, in between E2, E3, F2, and F3 on a tree past the beach
• Week 7 - Battle Star - North of Snobby Shores, A4 at the highest hill by the edge of the island
• Week 8 - Banner - North of Polar Peak, in between B6 and B7 on the mountain of ice over Greasy Grove
• Week 9 - Battle Star - Viking Outpost POI, on the viking ship behind the neck of the llama head
• Week 10 - Banner - Look Lake, on the hill next to the truck on the northwestern part of the digging site

Rewards

Battle Pass rewards are worth over 25,421 V-Bucks and can be typically be obtained within 75 to 150 hours of play. Purchasing the Battle Pass will instantly unlock two exclusive outfits; Legendary Blackheart and Legendary Hybrid. Exclusive rewards including emotes, cosmetics, and the wraps can be earned upon leveling up the Battle Pass. Battle Pass rewards are all cosmetic items that do not affect gameplay.

As the Battle Pass expires at the end of the season, all earned exclusive rewards will not expire and will not be obtainable again in the future. At the end of the season, XP boosts will end and can no longer be used to earn more rewards or complete Weekly Challenges from the season.
