The Balloons were a Rare item in Battle Royale. Balloons will cancel the damage inflicted from falling. They also make the player to fall slower and jump higher. The maximum amount of balloons a player can have inflated at once is three. With the maximum amount of balloons inflated, the player will start floating upwards. Balloons can be released by pressing Ctrl. They will pop if the player floats too high or if they are shot.

Balloons were originally found in Epic but was demoted to Rare following Patch 7.20, Balloons were then added to the Vault at the start of Season 9 making them exclusively available in Creative.

Improved Balloon controls

While in the air, Balloons can be released by pressing the ‘Crouch’ keybind(formerly the ‘Jump’ keybind).
Players can again use Alt-Fire to release a Balloon when the Balloon item is selected.

Bug Fixes

Balloons now have proper audio and visual effects if several are popped simultaneously.

We've reduced the spawn rate of Balloons from 12.2% to 2.3%.

Bug Fixes

Players hit by a Boogie Bomb while holding Balloons will no longer have physics issues. They will now properly drop the Balloons.

Comes with 20 deployable balloons.

Allows the player to defy gravity by holding up to 6 balloons at a time.
Primary fire button to inflate a balloon, secondary fire button to let go of a balloon.

Can be found from floor loot, chests, Supply Drops, Supply Llamas, and Vending Machines.
NOTE: Don’t float too high for too long, balloons only last so long at max build height.
