Apples are a Common Healing Item in Battle Royale added in Patch 4.2. They are found throughout the map on the ground near apple trees. Apples are not placed in the players inventory (Though in Patch 13.00, Fortnite has added the ability to pick up foraged items). Instead, the player receives the benefit of the Apple by consuming it with the interaction key. Apples grant 5 health, up to 100. They behave identically to Bananas and Ice Creams.
The Apple can be found in the new Produce Box and can now be picked up and placed in your inventory.

Trivia[]
- Apples heal the least health at a time, 5 health, but are the fastest to use, taking 1 second to consume.
- Healing apples are most likely a reference to Tim Sweeney's (Epic Games' Founder) 1992 game trilogy "Jill of the Jungle", where apples are the only health pick-up.
